20th January : Flying to Toronto!

It is -15 degrees, worrying about my instrument….

22nd January : The first rehearsal with Esprit Orchestra.

I met with my old friend from University time!

23rd January : Fire track stopped in front of the Hotel while I was maintenance my Sho.

It’s very cold here, as I worried, reed starts to have problems….

24th January : Concert with Esprit Orchestra.

Music by Misato Mochizuki, Unsuk Chin & Rita Ueda, great program!

25th January : Short day off

Went to see frozen Lake Ontario.

4th – 6th March : Rehearsal with Ensemble Cairn in Paris

4th March : Dinner with Composesr Sanae Ishida. Haven’t seen each other for about 10years?

7th March : Concert with Ensemble Cairn.

8th March : Nostalgic Paris Metro.

Had a recording session before going home.

24th March : Safely arrived in New York after very tough Visa application process…..!

25th March : Rehearsal with The Orchestra of St’ Lukes.

26th March : Azrieli Music Prize 10th anniversary Concert, Soloists and Composers Reunion.

27th : Day off, visited 911 Memorial Monument.

Deeply sad place.

28th March : AMP 10 concert in Lincoln Center.

Great that friend composer Ken Ueno came to our concert!

24th April : Clingendael Japanese Garden Open Ceremony

It was very cold….

27th April : Recording Session in Zurich. 13 Microphones are standing only for me…!

7th May : Visiting Leipzig for a Lecture in the University and Concert & Talk in Grieg hous.

25th May : Atlas Ensemble 2024 tour started!

I became the poster of the Oranjewoud Festival

26th May : Rehearsal for 132 Guan(管)by Joel Bons

29th May : One day off. enjoying Friesland.

30th May : Oranjewoud Festival started!

31st May : Chamber music concert with Chinese colleagues, Zifan Dai and Ziyi Weng.

Sho/Sheng part of Atlas 2024

2nd June : World premier of 132 Guan by Joel Bons

2nd September : Arrived in Brescia in Italy for the recording.

3rd September : Recording for Rita Ueda’s “let us not be the reason someone out there is praying for peace II” for the Sho and 12 string instruments.

After drink and dinner with Rita Ueda and Yuko Kondo.

17th November : Back to Tokyo and started to rehears for “I Have My Mother’s Eyes” by Rita Ueda. Catching up with Colleagues 🙂

19th November : Joining “Kagura” lesson by my Sho teacher Mr. Ko Ishikawa with my Canadian Colleagues.

29th November : Visited Waseda University where our concert will be.

And afterwards, went to eat Tempra with Professor Funaki of Waseda University and my colleagues.

1st December : Concert in the Ono hall in the Waseda University.

9th December : Rehearsal with the string Quartet of Orchestra Opera Rouen Normandie.

11th, 15h December : Chamber concert in Opera Rouen Normandie. performed Wim Henderickx’s “On Haiku the four seasons” for Sho and String Quartet. Wim’s Family came to listen to the concert. What a honor!
